What started as a guess proved to be 100% accurate, as Essential announced it will not adding any new Essential Phone inventory going forward. But that’s not the only thing that Essential revealed to its fans, as the statement mentions plans to another mobile product.

An Essential spokesperson told The Verge that while the Essential Phone won’t be sold through the company’s store any longer, accessories will still be available for purchase for the time being. On top of that, the Essential Phone will continue to receive software updates in a timely manner.

However, the statement also refers to Essential’s “next mobile product,” something that we didn’t think it would be possible after reports about an Essential Phone 2 being shelved. Even though the Essential Phone is far from being perfect, we’re quite excited to see what’s the next chapter for the U.S. company.
