Are you concerned about not inviting enough romance into your life? Contrary to popular belief, your ability to attract love isn’t due to your personality—it all boils down to how you decorate your home. At least, that’s according to the Daily Mail.

Social media users are thoroughly amused by a piece published by the tabloid informing women about “how to avoid turning your home into a man-repeller.”

While the topic is enough to raise eyebrows, it was a series of suggestions given by interior therapist Suzanne Robson that was on the receiving end of some brutal jokes.

According to the write-up, interior design no-nos for attracting men into your home include a statue of Buddha that is “a sign of poverty and isolation,” multiple photos of single women, too many books with “gloomy titles,” and cacti, which are deemed to be “unwelcoming.”

The responses to the article are just as, if not more, glorious than the feature.

“I’d be more worried if they had a copy of the Daily Mail,” tweets freelance tech reporter James Doleman.

Twitter user ‘moppety’ chimed in by suggesting more “man-repellers” like a mirror, which “indicates you like looking at yourself, but you should only be for him to look at.” They also warned against windows and doors: “too much like vaginal opening, could be emasculating.”

Is your home man-proof? Check out some snarky reactions below.
