Following multiple reports and a number of other certifications, Samsung’s upcoming entry-level smartphone has now been granted approval for release by the FCC in the US.

Listed under the model number SM-M105F/DS, the certification reveals the presence of a large 6-inch display and dimensions of 155.7 x 75.8mm. This means that, in terms of size, it’ll be more or less on par with the Galaxy S9+, a pretty big departure for Samsung’s budget range. After all, in recent history, the South Korean brand has reserved its bigger displays for more expensive devices in the hope of pushing customers towards more expensive models.

In regards to specs, previous leaks have pointed towards the presence of Samsung’s Exynos 7870 octa-core chip. This will reportedly arrive coupled with a very respectable 3GB of RAM and the choice of two storage configurations: either 16GB or 32GB.

Completing the setup is set to be Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box complete with the older Samsung Experience overlay, Bluetooth 4.2, and a 3,400mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 should be announced in early January alongside the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. Samsung is also working on some new Galaxy A models but these aren’t yet ready for release.
