If, like Rihanna, you love the smell of sex in the air, you might want to consider purchasing a bottle of this erotic perfume.

Parisian perfumery Etat Libre d’Orange prides itself in over-the-top fragrances—“unconventional” would be an understatement. Its 34 products include ‘I Am Trash’, the first perfume to be created with recycled materials, and ‘F**king Palaces’, its take on “a woman who dresses for seduction.”

Possibly its most contentious offering is its very first perfume, ‘Sécrétions Magnifiques’, which was created not only to conjure up memories of intimate encounters, but also to recreate their scents and odors. This means the racy fragrance replicates notes of semen, perspiration, blood, and saliva.

“We are on a razor-edge,” the brand details on its website. “Skin and sweat mingle, and tastes of musk and sandalwood. The slightly salty marine effect stirs, arouses, and sets your mouth watering.”

Etienne de Swardt, the founder of the perfumery, tells VICE’s Amuse that the scent was inspired by his memory of the AIDS crisis in the 80s, when he was a young teenager. “I thought about doing a perfume that would smell exactly like the situation, where, you don’t know if you’re going for it, or if you’re protecting yourself from what you want.”

“You are at the point between pornography and romanticism,” Swardt describes of the duality of sex in the era. “You are lost between attraction and repulsion.”

He adds that customers are purchasing his products online without knowing what they really smell like, reflecting that for the brand, concepts seem to be favored over what its fragrances smell like.

“I was born a storyteller and not a perfumer,” Swardt says.
