Nike’s ‘Plant Color Collection’

Nike has introduced its upcoming summer footwear that explores new ways to approach color and design, while advocating sustainability.

Its ‘Plant Color Collection’ comprising the ‘Air Max 95’ and ‘Blazer Low’ will utilize plant-based dyes for a neutral-style aesthetic. Colors include off-white, cream, and dusty pink, with hints of red and blue.

The sports brand also aspires to promote a love for the planet with its ‘Flyleather Earth Day Pack’, made in collaboration with artist Steven Harrington.

Nike’s ‘Air Force 1’, ‘Cortez’, and ‘Blazer Low’, made with Nike’s ‘Flyleather’ material that comprises at least 50 percent natural leather fiber, will come designed with an anthropomorphic Earth by Harrington.

The footwear designs will release throughout summer 2019.
