Louis Vuitton is taking a step forward in the technology department by debuting cutting-edge ‘Canvas of the Future’ bags that feature built-in OLED flexible screens.

The carriers first made an appearance at the fashion house’s Cruise 2020 show at JFK airport’S TWA Flight Center in New York. During the show, the screens showcased moving images of cities, stunning audience members with the techy element.

The bags come in two designs: a handheld ‘Duffle’ version with a short strap, and a purse with two handles called the ‘Speedy Bandouliere 35’.

The OLED flexible screens allow for 1920 x 1440 resolution, made using organic light-emitting diode, a lighting technology that creates flexible light panels without the need for backlights, as reported by Dezeen.

Louis Vuitton’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquière is the person behind the latest prototype. Lauded by the brand as a “fusion of savoir-faire and innovation” that blurs the line between a bag and a smartphone, the carry-all is poised to become classic.
