Instagram has evolved tremendously over the years, but one grouse remains—the inability to insert line breaks in captions.

The only logical way to get around this problem is by filling each line with full-stops or dashes, which aren’t the most eye-catching alternatives.

Your Insta-grumbles are thankfully over. Digital agency Sidekick has created ‘Instaspacer’, a free app that converts lengthier Instagram commentary into the way it’s destined to appear: without “awkward characters like ‘.’ and ‘-’.”

To create line breaks in a post, simply compose your caption, paste it into the app’s text box, and tap ‘Convert’.

‘Instaspacer’ was built in just a day, and its creators are still seeking approval from Apple for the app to go online on the App Store, but Android device owners can now download it via the Google Play Store.

In the meantime, iOS users might want to check out the free online tool below, which functions the same way.
