Chris Hemsworth could have pioneered the death of the man bun if he sported a ponytail, as an official concept artwork for Avengers: Infinity War reveals.

Rodney Fuentebella, a concept illustrator for Marvel Studios, has shared an early costume design of Hemsworth’s ‘Thor’ that depicts the superhero with a ponytail and eyepatch.

“I wanted to go for the [wandering] warrior look,” he described.

Marvel Studios decided to stick with Hemsworth’s close-cropped hair from Thor: Ragnarok in the end. The actor momentarily rocked a patch in the sequel due to a missing eye, but later ditched it when ‘Rocket’ handed him a cybernetic eye.
