A blend of high fashion and vibrant street photography, Douce d’Ivry‘s work offers a dreamy and colourful facet of Hong Kong. For the past two years, she has collaborated with local artists through beautifully staged photo shoots in some of the region’s most characterful neighbourhoods.

Her poetic and airy approach is inspired by people such as artist Jean-Paul Goude and filmmaker Wong Kar-wai. “Hong Kong has been a revelation for me,” Douce tells Creative Boom. “This city has become my own 24-hour photography set in which I can release all my creative energy. I want to share my own interpretation of the streets and its inhabitants.”

With a focus on primary colours and satisfying use of light, we love the intensity of Douce’s work. You can see her latest series in a debut solo exhibition at Château Zoobeetle Hong Kong this month. The show runs from 15 February until 15 April 2019.
