Great news for Avengers fans who think the three-hour Endgame wasn’t enough to offer them closure. Another tidbit has surfaced regarding the final instalment of the franchise, and you can expect it won’t be the last.

The film includes never-before-seen footage from Thor: A Dark World, which premiered six years ago.

The revelation comes from Endgame co-editor Jeffrey Ford, who tells Business Insider that Natalie Portman didn’t actually visit the set of the second highest-grossing film to make her appearance.

Before you read on, here’s a disclaimer to probably stop at this point if you’re not here for spoilers.

In Endgame, a larger ‘Thor’ (Chris Hemsworth) travels back in time with ‘Rocket’ (Bradley Cooper) to ‘Asgard’. There, they sneak past his brother ‘Loki’ (Tom Hiddleston), who is shown tossing his cup in a prison cell.

The scene was actually borrowed from a compilation of A Dark World clips that didn’t make the final cut, Ford details.

Another snippet from the 2013 movie offers a glimpse of ‘Jane Foster’ (Porter) before ‘Rocket’ claims the ‘Aether’ from her out of shot.

Endgame co-director Anthony Russo shared in a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly that all Portman had to accomplish for Endgame was a “little bit of voiceover” as she speaks in the distance.

To be meta, one can assume that these deleted scenes didn’t happen in A Dark World’s reality.
